About
Tracy Reid, MFTA has a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Master's of Science Degree in Counseling in the Cohort Program from Cal State Fullerton.
For the next ten years, she worked as the Director of a non-profit with clients diagnosed with Dementia and helped families dealing with loss and grief through personal counseling, classes and support groups. While working there, she educated the public through seminars, with the Alzheimer’s Association and Mount of Olives Adult Day Care, on the subjects of caregiving, self-care, and emotional health. Tracy recently teamed with Uplift Teen Yoga as their ambassador life coach, working with teens one-on-one doing “walk and talks” and in a teaching capacity to help them along their own awareness journey, that many of life’s issues, catapult teens through. Tracy also works with troubled teens doing Equine therapy, helping teens connect to what they are feeling on the inside, by seeing it mirrored back to them through the horse. Tracy's personal journey through divorce and trauma led her to create and fine tune weekly modules she offers in a 6 week course and yoga retreats, to help others understand their behavioral patterns, choices, reactions and life process. After her divorce, Tracy saw how important therapy was for couples and was trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples and families communicate, validate and connect on a deeper level. Tracy likes working with the body as a whole, believing that healing isn’t just one demential, it’s an intermingling of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual synergy, to bring us back home and connect with our power. |
